2010 Upward Soccer Game Schedule

Here is a copy of the games schedules broken down by division. You should also receive a printed copy of this at the first practice. All teams will play on the same field they use for practice. When the schedule indicates “home” players should wear the darker side of their reversible jersey.

Weds 2/17 Dews Funeral 7 PM (No Regular Programs)

Becuase of the weather, the Virginia “Jenny” Dews Funeral service has been rescheduled for 7 PM on Wednesday 2/17 at the church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church.

We have cancelled our regular discipleship programs for that evening.

2010 Winter/Spring Small Groups

Our kickoff event is canceled for tonight because of the snow, but we’ll have a full list of groups available on Sunday morning at church. Each group will meet twice a month at various host homes.

10/24 We Will Have Soccer Games

We will play all the scheduled Upward Soccer games this morning. The fields have some puddles, so be prepared for muddy feet.

Don’t forget the Awards Sunday evening at 6 PM.

10/17 We Will Have Soccer (except for the PreK & Kindergarten division)

Teams will play their games as scheduled today except for the youngest division (4 years old through kindergarten). This partial cancellation is due to the cold temperature. If your child is coming be sure to wear extra layers. The fields are in good shape and water will not be an issue for today’s games.

Soccer Canceled for Wednesday 14 October 2009

The weather won’t give up! Tonights Upward Soccer activities are canceled. The combination of very cool temperature, continued rain, and wet fields make for unacceptable conditions for play. Pray for better weather on Saturday for our scheduled game #6.

No Soccer Saturday 10/10/2009 + Make Up Schedule

Because of wet fields, this Saturday’s games will be canceled. This makes our second very wet Saturday this season, so we are going to play some make-up games during the final two Wednesday practice nights (10/14 and 10/21 ) instead of practice. The final two Saturdays (10/17 and 10/24) will be played according to your game schedule.

Please check the make-up schedule below, not all teams will play at their regular practice time for these make-up games. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. These games will follow the normal game format, including player announcements.

Soccer Canceled Saturday 9/26/09

Soccer Games Saturday 26 September 2009 are canceled due to weather and too much water on the fields. It would be unsafe for the kids to play in these conditions. Week #3 games on the schedule will not be made up.

2009 Upward Soccer Game Schedule

We have just finished drafting the 2009 Upward Soccer teams. Parents are being notified by email and by their coaches. Practice times will be at 5PM or 6PM depending on the team. ?You can also call the church office to find out. 273-2289

We had very strong turnout once again, and the Preschool-Kindergarten division is now full. The other age groupings can accept a few more players, but only for a short time.

Our first practice is scheduled for 19 August 2009. Children will practice at the same time each week on Wednesday throughout the season. Children will receive their jersey and player kit at the first practice. Shinn guards are required for all age groups.

Weather Policy: Any weather cancelations will appear on our church website www.CBCmadison.com. Coaches will attempt to contact their team if there is a cancelation, but that is not always possible for coaches who work. If you have any doubts, just call the church office call our church office at 273-2289.

It’s 7:32 AM and it looks like the weather will be fine for our Upward Soccer games this morning. All coaches, parents and players should come at the scheduled time. The fields will be slightly wet, but we don’t have any standing water.
